Joshua, I can't believe you're two. It seems like just yesterday you were born. The past two years have been a real adventure. You are such a sweet little boy and I love when you want to cuddle. At the same time, you are a boy through and through. You love guns, dirt, hitting, kicking, spitting, wrestling with your Dad, being outside and you can eat like no other toddler I've known. You love to be messy and fear very little.
For the most part, you will sleep through the night and are still taking a 2 hour nap during the day. I thank you for that. You love to read books and are always so curious about what's going on around you. Whenever Mom or Dad leave, you always want to know where we're going and if you can go.
If you're not fighting with your big sister, than you two are best friends. Everything she does, you have to try. You're not a big fan of nursery yet, but we are working on it. As soon as it gets warm outside, we will begin potty training. I know you're smart enough to do it, it's just a matter if you want to or not.
You are so protective of your baby sister Olivia. She is lucky to have you as a guardian.
Oma and Pa think the world of you and you'd spend all your time with them if we let you.
Joshua, I hope and pray you know how much you are loved and needed in this family. You have so much potential!!
Love you Kiddo,
Mom

Time has flown by, I can hardly believe it!!! My sweet little Olivia is already 2 months old. She just went to the doctors last Tuesday and she weighed 9lbs 12oz. It might not seem like much but just 2 months ago she weighed 5lbs 9oz. She is still such a good baby. She is sleeping anywhere from 5-7 hours at night and I am so greatful for that. She loves to be held which works out great because I love to hold her and so does her big sister Isabel. Olivia is so lucky to have wonderful older siblings. Isabel adores Olivia and wants to and tries to help with everything. She is my biggest helper and I am so thankful for her. Joshua adores his baby sister and is always concerned when he hears her crying. We love you Olivia and can't imagine life without you in it!!!

Random Pics

We LOVE being outside. Everyone is happier and when it's bedtime, the kids are so ready. We are ready for water games, swinging, picnics, BBQs, bike rides and walks.

RODEO!!!! We went to the rodeo and the kids were so amazed with everything. They even sat through all 2.5 hours of it.

Trouble makers

Bunny friends. Isabel has so much fun playing with her friend Keyton. Their imaginations are endless.

We had a wonderful Easter. The ids loved their Easter baskets and even though there was snow covered ground, they love the easter egg hunts.

Aunt Jenni is SO good with her nieces and nephews. And they love her so much. My kids love to sit on her lap and watch silly cat videos on her cellphone. Thanks Jenni for being such a wonderful sister and Aunt.

Oh my sweet Olivia. She is such a wonderful baby. I'm so lucky to have such a good baby. She hardly cries and loves to cuddle. In this picture she is 4 weeks old and weighs 6lb 12oz. She's growing so fast. I love this newborn stage but look forward to seeing her personality shine through. I love you Olivia!!

So much fun with so little sleep!

It's been three weeks since Olivia was born. Days have been busy doing things with my older two kids and my nights are consumed with feeding Olivia every 3-4 hours. It's amazes me how moms with new babies can function with such little sleep. After being on bedrest for 10 weeks, I happily take on the chores of being a mom. Olivia is growing like a weed and weighs about 6 pounds. Isabel absolutely adores her baby sister and wants to help do everything. Joshua loves his little sister but quickly loses interest. We just love the sweet little spirit she brings to our family. She is such a good baby. She rarely cries and when she does, it's more of a squeak or a grunt. Lets just hope she continues to be such an easy going child.

JOY IN THE JOURNEY!!!!

So here I am at 32 weeks. Things have been challenging lately but I also find myself being stronger. With contractions becoming more regular and stronger, everyday is a blessing that I can still be pregnant. I pray that we can make it to at least 35weeks. With a lot of laying in bed and an amazing husband that takes care of my house and kids, I think me and Olivia have a chance. I couldn't ask for better family and friends!!! I have found that I have to find joy in this journey even if it's been a unpleasant one.

Some of the things I find joy in:

* Being able to watch my kids play together without thinking I have to go finish the laundry or cook dinner

* Having my kids play on my bed while I can lay down and watch their imaginations take off

* Having my husband doing EVERYTHING!! (Really, how often do we get a chance like that?) From cooking to cleaning to running awful errands such as grocery shopping.

* Hearing my 4 year old daughter say "Mom lay down and put your feet up please."

* Being able to really be in tune with my baby

* Finding reassurance as I lay here and feel my baby kick me a thousand time a day (which are getting MUCH stronger, thank goodness)

* The money I've saved since I haven't been able to go shopping for so long

* Laying in my bed as I listen to my kids play in their rooms as I wonder what they are going to dressed up as next time they come out of their rooms.

* Listening to the kids playing and not having any worries about what toys they are getting out because my amazing husband will clean it up

So now that the end is actually in sight, I can almost say it hasn't been too bad! Okay maybe not but I can for sure say it could be worse. Day by day, week by week : )

My sweet Isabel is 4 years old!!!

My little Isabel is 4 years old today. 4 years ago my life changed for ever, and I never could have imagined how wonderful life was about to get. Isabel has always been a very smart girl and continues to grow by leap and bounds.
Some of her favorite things include:

* Dressing up, especially as a princess
* Helping mommy cook
* Playing outside no matter the temperature
* Giving and receiving surprises (no matter what it is, she will act surprised)
* Anything pink with sparkles
* Spending time with her grandparents
* Playing with her friends
* Going to the babysitter's
* Happy meals with chicken nuggets, fries, sprite and sweet and sour sauce
* Watching movies with mommy on her bed while eating popcorn, of course
* Taking care of her baby dolls
* Going to church
* Sing songs
* Getting ready for her new baby sister to be born
* Noodles and sunny delight
* Taking care of people

Isabel is such a sweet, loving and caring little girl. I love playing with her and experiencing her imagination running wild. She is so willing to help me with anything and I know she is going to be such a big helper when her little sister is born. She likes to help Joshua with daily tasks such as getting ready and eating. There is nothing sweeter than Isabel and Joshua playing together like they were long lost pals.

I love you Bug and no matter how old you get, you will always be my sweet little Isabel.
